These are the Zebra Kirarich Glitter Highlighters
Their body is a translucent plastic where you can clearly see how much ink is left. The cap corresponds to the color of the highlighter ink. And on the cap there's a small bump for a roll-stop. And At the end of the barrel is some space to post the cap. But of course the most extraordinary thing about the body is that it's all covered in glitter. The barrel has glitter the cap. Everything but the label has glitter.
I have here the 5 piece set which includes Pink Yellow Green Purple and Blue. If that's too much color for you they have a 3 piece set without Blue and Purple.
The pen measures 13.3cm a little on the shorter end of average sized pen style highlighter
Once you remove the cap you'll notice that the highlighter tip is not entirely covered in glitters. You'll also notice the the tip is a bit on the smaller size of tip sizes. And after some quick highlighting, I measured the thickness of the line as 3.5mm as opposed to my regular highlighter's 4mm. When using the Kirarich Glitter Highlighter expect the highlighted area to be a little narrower than normal and it may not be able to totally cover large font sized text.
During highlighting, the Zebra Kirarich Glitter Highlighter lays down vibrant colorful fluorescent lines that sparkles with glitter and dries fast, under 2 seconds. That would have been great drying time except that the ink blobs and pools a bit after the end of the highlight line. This pooling might end up bleeding through the page and make the highlighting dry a bit more longer.
The line it produces is full of glitter and although the glitter is very eye catching as such, similar to other glitters, it gets everywhere. Even though the ink doesn't smear, the glitter does. It comes off from a simple swipe and gets across the rest of the page. The sparkle is quite subtle but it may get unwieldy when used in important documents although that said I would question using glitter highlighter altogether on important documents.
Lastly, we'll see how well the highlighters behave when we use them with ballpoint, gel pen, rollerball and inkjet printer ink. It smears the ballpoint, rollerball and the inkjet ink a little but it definitely smudged up the gel pen as there is some major smearing going on when the gel pen's highlighted. I would star away from pairing the Zebra Kirarich with gel pens to preserve the highlighter tip and gel pen writing.
